Located right next door to the camp is the Hororata Golf Club with 18 holes of rolling fairways and undulating greens. Access can also be found via our power site area.

Set amongst the spectacular scenery of the Rakaia Gorge, this resort has a restaurant and bars available to the public as well as spas and other activities.

The all-weather greens at the Coalgate Bowling Club mean you can play bowls all year round. It offers well-maintained greens for lawn bowling enthusiasts, as well as a range of social events throughout the year. Competitions are run on a regular basis.

Jetboating on the Rakaia Gorge and the Waimakiriri Gorge are two of the most popular adventure activities in New Zealand. Both gorges offer breathtaking scenery, with crystal-clear waters, towering cliffs, and rugged landscapes. Jetboating tours are a thrilling way to experience these natural wonders, with experienced drivers taking visitors on high-speed rides through narrow channels and rapids.

These are situated at the base of the Southern Alps at Springfield (20 mins). They offer a range of horse riding experiences, including treks through the scenic Rubicon Valley and the foothills of the Southern Alps. With experienced guides and well-trained horses, visitors can enjoy a safe and memorable adventure in the stunning New Zealand countryside.

There are a number of world class ski-fields within 40 minutes drive including Mt Hutt (30 mins) and Porter Heights. These ski-fields offer a range of slopes for skiers and snowboarders of all levels, as well as opportunities for heli-skiing and backcountry skiing. Visitors can also enjoy stunning alpine views and a variety of après-ski activities.

The Glentunnel Store in 500m across the road and offers all the necessities as well as good coffees. Visitors can enjoy the store's nostalgic atmosphere and browse its selection of goods, which includes local produce, artisanal crafts, and antiques.
